Speed Of Sound In Different Mediums
Standard speed of sound(20c): Vair=343m/s
Speed of sound through air at various temperatures: Vair= 331.3m/s+0.606m/s(temp in C)
Speed of sound through air at various temperatures: Vair= 331.3m/s+0.606m/s(temp in C)
Typically, the more dense the medium, the faster sound travels within that medium. The reason is simply because the molecules are closer together so it's quicker for them to transmit vibrations to a neighboring molecule.
